The three best Folklore ensembles in Hungary
The Hungarian State Folk Ensemble (Budai Vigadó), the Danube Folk Ensemble and Rajkó Folk Ensemble (in the Danube Palace) are three of the best Hungarian folk ensembles with the longest tradition (the first one was formed in 1951, and the second one in 1957), which have performances all around the country and abroad.

All the three of the Ensembles consist of 30 artists. Their choreographies are based on authentic dances. Some of them were collected in isolated villages and date back hundreds of years. Through the performed dances you can get a broad view of the music, dance and costume heritage of Hungary and the Hungarian inhabited areas.

Danube Symphony Orchestra
The Danube Symphony Orchestra was formed in 1961. Since then they have given many performances both in Hungary and abroad. The Orchestra consists of 60 professional musicians.

Their repertoire covers almost every musical style from the Baroque music to music of the 20th century. Their permanent concert hall is the theatre of the Danube Palace, Budapest. Apart from the concerts they organize both for adults and children, they regularly play at various musical events held in Budapest. They are frequent guests at the Music Academy, at the Vigadó, at the Stephanie Palace and at the Convention Centre.

They have had international contacts since 1983 and have been invited to play in many foreign countries. They have often accompanied solo artists at music competitions and participated in colourful operettas, ballets and oratorio performances as well.

Not only do the musicians work together in this orchestra but in several chamber orchestras as well. Besides their permanent conductor András Deák, they are often conducted by other Hungarian and foreign conductors. Many Hungarian and foreign guest artists have performed with the orchestra, including Giuseppe di Stefano from Italy, James Galway, a flautist from Ireland and Ray Charles, the jazz star from the USA. They have given performances in Germany, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Italy.

Organ Concert in the St. Anne Church
The St. Anne Church makes home for our organ-concert series. The St. Anne Church is one of the most beautiful baroque buildings of Budapest. The construction of the church started in 1740, according to the plans of Kristóf Hamon, and was completed by Mátyás Nepauer in 1761. In the next 200 years the church suffered from wars, floods and earthquakes, even it was planned to be demolished, owing to the construction of the metro network. Fortunately this plan was not realised, and the church was reconstructed between 1970-1984.

Address: Batthyány tér 7. Budapest 1011

The programme of the concert was adapted for the organ of this church by Gábor Lehotka, professor of the Academy of Music in Budapest. Anasztázia Bednarik, Miklós Teleki and László Attila Almásy regularly give concerts in Hungary, Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

    Dinner & Cruise
Budapest panorama was added to the World Cultural Heritage List by UNESCO. Join us for a unique Budapest experience, and while admiring this panorama you can enjoy a delicious meal on our ship.

The Danube, this very important and mighty river starting in Germany, on its journey to the Black sea flows through many capitals. In Budapest it runs majestically through the center of the city, creating one of the finest panoramas on the continent. The Danubes embankment treasures the old and embraces the new, historic is mingling with the modern. We would like to invite you to see our capital on the most romantic way. To customize your needs we prepared three types of boat cruises.

DINNER & CRUISE - at 22:00, starts only on concert days.

Our company organizes different cultural programs in the city which are starting at 20:00 (Hungarian folk dance performances, Symphony concerts, Organ concerts). After the end of the performance in the Duna Palota (Danube Palace) or in the Budai Vigadó, our hostesses will accompany you to the Ship (5 minutes walk to the ship). You will be welcomed on board of one of our air-conditioned ships, which will take you on a one-and-a-half-hour-long cruise with an excellent warm buffet-dinner. In the romantic candlelight atmosphere you can enjoy the wonderful view of the city swimming in lights. After dinner you can also admire the panorama from the open upper deck of the ship. Guiding is not included in the program.

When the performances take place in the Budai Vigadó the meeting point is in the theaters lobby (Corvin tér 8). The cruise starts in the Buda side, but finishes on the Pest side of the city.

On request our hostesses can call you a taxi at the end of the tour.

You can book the DINNER & CRUISE separately from the Hungarian folk dance performances or the Danube Concert, too. In that case, when booking your tickets, you will be informed about which place to come to at 21.30 to the Duna Palota (Danube Palace, Zrínyi utca 5.) or the Budai Vigadó (Corvin tér 8.).

You can book the cruise without dinner too, with drinks only (a glass of champagne and another glass of drink: soft drink, wine or beer). The ship cruise takes about one and a half hours.
